Top 10 BEST cosmetic products from cruelty free beauty brands

It's 2019 and, in my eyes, no cosmetic companies have the excuse to STILL be testing on animals. I thought it would be useful to narrow down my personal favourite beauty pick from ten brilliant cruelty free brands so you can feel as good as you look wearing your cosmetics. If you're making a conscious effort to only shop cruelty free then these are the perfect items to start your collection that will make you forget about your non friendly favourites. Some are also vegan and range in price so their really is no excuse to use animal tested products for vanity!

1) Tarte 'Shape Tape' Concealer, £23

Possibly one of my favourite beauty products of all time and the fact that its also from a brand that promotes themselves as 100% vegan is just the icing on the cake. Yes its a thick concealer but it just means the tubes last forever so it justifies the price and the product is really blend-able so don't be put off by the thick applicator, it can be applied in a much thinner way if necessary. The product also has a really natural botanical smell if you hate rubbery and chemical smelling makeup then you'll love this.

2) Bare minerals 'Bare Skin', £28 Brush, £24

This is my everyday foundation and I love it because it so thin but also really buildable due to its serum like consistency. Its perfect to cover discolouration and redness but if you have severe acne I was definitely use a thicker concealer with it. All of bare minerals product I've tried give. really natural finish and this product is no different. The brush it comes with is always amazing , it has a hole in the middle for the product to sit in and has a flat surface which I much prefer to other brushes that make it harder to get an even insistency and the product just runs off the brush.

3) Urban decay 'Naked Ultimate Basics', £42

Im sure everyone can agree Urban Decays eyeshadow palettes are the perfect mix of intense pigment with a smooth consistency. This palette is ideal for everyday wear as it mainly has neutral tones and also would be perfect to take on holiday as there is a great range of colours that aeee actually sable in the real world. I hate it when palettes have really harsh colour that doesn't match any others in the pan so I love this palette because colours are really well matched and work well together yet still have loads of different look possibilities.

4) Wet and Wild 'Megaglo Makeup Stick Highlight', £4

I was absolutely blown away with how good this highlight is for the price! I first picked it up in a pharmacy in Ibiza not expecting much but how wrong I was! The highlight isn't chalky or powdery, it looks as if you've just emerged from the sea on holiday or just moisturised, its a lot more sheer and natural looking that I would expect yet still delivers in pigmentation. It doesn't feel thick o. application and the texture is really creamy and bendable. I love using it with no foundation as I think you can create a really pretty natural look with it and mimic a great skin day with a quick swipe on the cheeks. I also have really pale skin and highlighters tend to be really orange on my and darker than my foundation so the pinky tone I chose really worked for skin tone so I would defiantly recommend for fellow pale girls.

5) Kat Von D 'Everlasting Liquid Lipstick', £17

Kat clearly means business with her liquid lipsticks! When they're on, they stay on, FOR HOURS. They're almost too long lasting to the point where you can't get it off but if you're someone who hates constantly reapplying then pretty much all of her makeup is perfect, especially the lip products due to the mouth being the most common area makeup rubs off. Kat Von D beauty also prides itself on being 100% vegan as well as cruelty free so its hard to find anything to dislike about the brand.

6) Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette, £42

I know we've moved on from Kim Kardashians 2013 contour game but this palette really is amazing. The consistency of the creme is thin enough to blend but also is pigmented enough to be noticeable where you've applied it - it doesn't just blend into nothing like other contour I've used. Yes, its pricey so I wouldn't use it everyday but for night out its perfect for giving chiselled features and there is a lot more product in the pan than what meets the eye.

7) NYX 'Hydratouch' Primer, £11

This is my favourite primer for a few reasons. Firstly the smell- primers I've used in the past either intend to be unscented but end up smelling rubbery or really excessively scented but this is the perfect clean and fresh subtle smell. Its consistency its thin and easily spreadable which I love as I hate products that feel like you've already got a layer on before application. The light texture leaves your skin feeling moisturised and creates a perfect soft base for your foundation. It also leaves you really glowy without the need for excessive and cheap looking highlight.

8) Stila 'HUGE Extreme Lash Mascara', £19

Admittedly this mascara has a fairly thick and potentially clumpy wand if excess isn't wiped off, however application wise the size of the applicator provides amazing volume. There's no good having long length if they look sparse and thin so this mascara does everything perfectly, lifts, volumizes , lengthens - its a brilliant product when used correctly. The wand catches even the smallest of lashes perfectly! I always start in the inner corner and work outwards to avoid the thick wand smudging. I make sure all of the lashes are coated, from the root and right in the corner a cotton swap to wipe away an excess using a cotton bud. The lashes don't drop throughout the day and there isn any flaking or spidery consistency, even when thick layers are applied.

9) Eyeko Brow Gel, £18

I have naturally thick eyebrows but I do still need to keep they neat and this product is by far the best I've used as far as eyebrow gels go. Usually I find the gels quite chalky and cakey but the consistency of this product is almost like water but with a very good pigment so if you want your eyebrows filling as well this product is good for doing that in a really natural way. The small wand allows you to pick up the finer hairs if your brows aren't naturally thick and prevents you having to draw on eyebrows heavily. The gel gives dimensions to your brows without letting you fall victim of the insta brow trend.

10) Laura Geller 'Balance and Brighten' Foundation, £26

This baked foundations provide an unusually beautiful natural and light glow for powdered products. The mixture of tones in the base provide colour correcting pigments for an even complexion that isn't too intense or caked looking. The product is filled with antioxidants which protect skin cells from damage and slowdont the raging process. Although the product looks fairly dry, the texture is actually very bouncy and almost creme like so it provides more coverage that what you might assume from the powdery appearance. Also the is a really easy items to add to during the day or maybe for a heavier night look- you don't need to remove it all and start again as you can keep applying without looking cakey and it oxidising.
